Awarded by Transport Scotland, Halcrow’s contract covers all aspects of trunk road maintenance for a specified area, including network management, routine and winter maintenance, and design and scheme construction up to a certain value.

In the video above (filmed in 2006) Bruce Lunn, Technical manager for PAG, tells us more about this project
Halcrow’s market sector manager, Mark Baynham, commented: “This is a team effort and proves to one of our major strategic clients that Halcrow can deliver major procurement projects.”
The project includes a Halcrow-developed e-tendering system and pricing database –innovative firsts for client Transport Scotland. Saving time during tendering and consultations, these systems were deemed a major success by the client.
Our approach drastically reduces paper consumption during procurement, provides continuous access to information and a full audit trail, and significantly speeds up the tendering process.
